Callum Waldrum is a young player on the rise. Being named Rookie of the Year for Brothers Ipswich in 2008 year topped off a year where the 2 teams he played with throughout 2008 won undefeated premierships. Firstly his school rugby union team St Laurences College won the AIC premiership resulting in him being picked in the AIC 1st XV for the Qld trials. He narrowly missed selection in the Qld schoolboys team. Then the Brothers U18 (IRL) went through their season undefeated and Callum picked up the players player award & was selected in the Ipswich Diggers U18 squad and to play in the annual St George development game against a NSW team in Wollongong in early 2009. Callum, who has completed his personal training certificates, played FOGS Colts and will sign for the Jets again in 2010.
